What Could Your Journey Look Like?
First Year
- First-year students take core classes which will provide a solid foundation for further study.
- Get involved in student government, or after your first semester, explore fraternity and sorority life.
Sophomore & Junior Years
- Become eligible to apply to the College of Education.
- You'll get more classroom experience with a 60 hour practicum in your junior year.
- Sophomores and juniors typically take introductory education courses before determining which content areas to focus on. Once a content area or areas are chosen, you will focus more heavily on courses in those disciplines.
Senior Year
- Seniors take specialized secondary education courses.
- ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½'s student teaching experience is one of the most immersive in the state and students will spend over 800 hours getting real classroom experience before they graduate.
