Government Relations
Our team serves as the primary liaison between Ðǿմ«Ã½ and government officials. We work to:
- foster an understanding of the role Ðǿմ«Ã½ plays within the University System, the state, and our local communities;
- monitor and advocate for or against legislative and fiscal policies that have an impact on Ðǿմ«Ã½ and its stakeholders;
- develop partnerships through initiatives from both the university and public sectors;
- facilitate and assist preparation for testimonies and meetings from members of the Ðǿմ«Ã½ community to and with governmental bodies.
We want to make your interaction as productive as possible and ensure compliance with state lobbying disclosure rules.

Government Internships
Internships afford students the opportunity to view the inner workings of state government. Each intern will have a variety of responsibilities in which he or she will be assigned projects that relate to his or her field of study.
Interns also have the opportunity to participate in activities that highlight the legislative process or state agency’s function.
