Crowe named director of Cumming Campus
Dr. Ken Crowe has been named executive director of the University of North Georgia's (ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½) Cumming Campus, effective Sept. 1.
Crowe has served at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ as assistant vice president for Facilities since April 2017. As the chief administrator for the Cumming Campus, Crowe will work with Dr. Steven Smith, ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½'s new vice president for regional campuses, as well as colleagues across the university to advance educational opportunities and community partnerships.
"As a resident of Dawsonville, Dr. Crowe brings significant regional knowledge and experience to this position," ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ President Bonita Jacobs said. "I am grateful to Dr. Steven Lloyd, vice provost, for chairing the search for this position and the committee for leading this important work. The Cumming Campus opened in 2012, and it has grown quickly. This fall, we will break ground for a new building that will enable us to accommodate future growth. I am confident Dr. Crowe will serve ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ and the Cumming Campus well in this next chapter of its development."
Prior to joining ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ in 2015 as director of capital planning and project management, Crowe served the University System of Georgia as director of management and operations, the University of Georgia as director of energy services and other facilities management roles, and Georgia Power Company as a key account manager.
He holds a Doctor of Education in higher education leadership and practice from ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½, a Master of Business Administration from Brenau University, and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Georgia Tech.

I am excited to start a capstone assignment where I can merge my experiences and relationships to further the influence of ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ in the Cumming and Forsyth County area," Crowe said. "I cherish the opportunity to be more directly engaged with our awesome students."
Esports team is 2nd in nation, 1st in PBC
The ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ Esports team finished second nationally and won the Peach Belt Conference championship in the Marvel Rivals game in the fall.
Students clean up Tumbling Creek
A group of nearly 70 ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ students conducted their biannual cleanup of Tumbling Creek Woods, which is adjacent to ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½'s Gainesville Campus.
McCloy’s work recognized in Bellwethers exhibition
Alexandra McCloy's 'Living Patterns' received the Lane Last Award for Best in Show in the Bellwethers Annual Juried Exhibition at the West Tennessee Regional Art Center.
