The University of North Georgia (Ðǿմ«Ã½) men's soccer team earned the Peach Belt Conference's (PBC) Sportsmanship Award for 2022 along with two league rivals. The Ðǿմ«Ã½ men's soccer program last won the award in spring 2021.

"We value integrity and the opportunity to develop men of character, along with doing our jobs of holding our student-athletes accountable at all times," Ðǿմ«Ã½ head coach Dr. Patrice Parris said. "Our student-athletes do an excellent job of holding each other responsible on and off the field. We believe the foundations of integrity and character lead toward winning in life as we use soccer as a tool to coach and teach life lessons."

The Ðǿմ«Ã½ Department of Athletics has won 26 total Sportsmanship Awards and three of the last four in men's soccer. Ðǿմ«Ã½, Flagler College and USC Aiken all tied for the men's soccer award this fall. The three-way tie in men's soccer is the first in the history of the awards program.

The program presents an award following each championship season to the team in that sport that best exemplifies the spirit of sportsmanship and generally conducts itself with a high degree of integrity, character, and class. The team award is selected by other teams who compete in that sport. Points are awarded based on how each team finished in the voting, and in June, the institution with the highest totals will receive the PBC Institution of the Year Sportsmanship Award.
