Public Safety issues UTCs for moving and safety violations (e.g., speeding, parking in fire lanes, or unauthorized use of accessible spaces).

UTCs cannot be appealed through Parking Services. For questions regarding a UTC, refer to the contact information printed on the back of the citation.

Parking fines may be paid online or in person at:

• Card Services/Parking Services office in Gainesville and Cumming
• Parking Services in Dahlonega.

Fines paid in office may be paid by credit/debit card (Discover, Master Card or Visa), check or cash (no change). The University will not accept loose/rolled change. Unpaid fines may result in Banner account holds (for class registration) and/or withdrawal of campus parking privileges.  

Paying Online

1. Go to the .
2. Click on the box "Lookup A Ticket".
3. Enter your ticket # along with your vehicle license plate and click the "search" button.
4. Any ticket(s) that have been assigned to your account will now be displayed.
5. If you only have one ticket applied to your account, click on the "Pay Ticket Now" box and enter the correct payment information necessary.
6. If you have more than one ticket, they will be summarized in the "Open Tickets on Vehicle" section, select the correct ticket then click "Pay Ticket Now".
7. Enter your email address then click "Complete Checkout".
8. Enter your credit card payment information then click "Submit".
9. If the payment information you supplied was correct, your payment will be accepted and you'll receive an email notification for the transaction.
10. It may take up to an hour for your payment to process and for the hold on your Banner account to clear.

Tickets can be appealed online within seven calendar days of being issued. After the seven calendar days you waive your right to appeal the parking ticket.

The Committee meets once a month. Once the appeal process is completed, the ticket can be upheld, voided, or reduced. The Committee’s findings are final and cannot be appealed further.  Parking Services cannot change the ruling of the committee.

Submit an Appeal

1. Go to the .
2. Click on the box “Lookup A Ticket”.
3. Enter your ticket # along with your vehicle license plate and click the “search” button.
4. A summary of the ticket will be displayed, notice that the current status shows as “Issued”.
5. Verify that your contact info is correct and provide a current phone number.
6. Type your appeal information in the space provided.
7. Click “Request Appeal”.
8. Summary page is displayed, notice that the current status now shows as “Pending”.
9. You will receive an email informing you of the final appeal decision.

Appeals based on the following are not acceptable and may be dismissed:

• Lack of knowledge of the Parking Rules and Regulations
• Inability to find a permitted parking space
• Operation of the vehicle by another person
• Failure of enforcement officers to ticket for similar offenses
• Inability to pay ticket fines
• Inclement weather
• Tardiness to class, meeting, or other campus appointment
• Someone other than a Parking Services employee providing instruction to park
• Lack of a valid parking permit by a student, faculty or staff member
• Unauthorized parking in handicap spaces/blue striped area, grass/landscape, sidewalk or any other unmarked area
• Only parked in an unauthorized area for a short amount of time
• Failure to observe posted signage
• Fire lane and fire hydrant tickets
